How will participating in the workshop help me?
Participants in the workshop will have an attractive, if not unique, opportunity to discuss the needs of organizers for AI-based solutions with AI experts in an open forum.
The result is recorded in the form of feasible, clearly formulated project profiles so that these can be used as a basis for further joint activities. These contain information on motivation, the budget framework, time planning, implementation with AI processes (e.g. using language models or machine learning), the partners and the system concept.
- For event organizers, this opens up the opportunity to find out what can be implemented today and in the near future, within what framework and on what terms.
- For AI developers and service providers, it is an opportunity to find out what the event market needs and how their offerings and products need to be tailored in order to be successful as a service for the event industry today and tomorrow.
Although the primary aim is to improve the sustainability of events, this ultimately manifests itself in generally usable services for mobility, facility management, resource/waste management and knowledge management.

Participation opportunity
Participation is free of charge and only requires the willingness to make the collaboration public in a profile on our website. Knowledge of artificial intelligence is also not required. The content discussed in the workshop can be protected by a confidentiality agreement if required.
We look forward to receiving optional submissions on the following or similar topics:
- Analysis and forecast of the mobility behavior of visitors and organizers (arrival/departure incl. hotel transfer)
- Systematic determination of all CO2-related aspects of the venue (e.g. energy supply, heating, cooling)
- Coordinated methodology for forecasting the ecological footprint (including CO2)
- Sustainability in catering
- Analysis and forecasting of material flows (catering requirements, stands, stages, waste, etc.)
- AI solutions to improve inclusion at events, e.g. for people with visual or hearing impairments
- Analysis of data from past events
- Architecture proposal for customized IT systems with integrated AI/ML methods
- Checking the applicability of existing AI algorithms
- AI platform for smart eco-events, e.g. for data collection / generation, life cycle assessment
- Development roadmaps for AI systems
