Visit us from April 22 to 26 in hall 15 at booth no. A06

Stuttgart, 18.04.2024. With the aim of driving networking and joint change through artificial intelligence (AI), the Baden-Württemberg AI Alliance confirms its participation in the Hannover Messe, which takes place at the end of April. "Targeted networking, shaping change together - that is our mission. We at the KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg see ourselves as a connecting element between business, science and politics, with the aim of securing and expanding economic success," explains Ingo Hoffmann, Managing Director of the KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg.

Participation in the joint stand of the state of Baden-Württemberg

With this presence at one of the world's largest industry trade fairs, the AI Alliance aims to increase its visibility and expand its network. Hoffmann goes on to emphasize: "Targeted networking of players, knowledge transfer and transparency will make the potential of AI technologies accessible to everyone. As a recognized contact point and driving force for AI, we strive to lead Baden-Württemberg into the future together, increase value creation and promote sustainable growth."

The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism is supporting the mission of the AI Alliance with a total of 11.3 million euros in funding. "The AI ecosystem in Baden-Württemberg will benefit significantly from the emergence of lighthouses and future labs of the regional AI centers of excellence," said Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism Baden-Württemberg. Through the concept of regional community management, the AI Alliance Baden-Württemberg is pursuing the goal of creating synergies - through transparency of existing information and knowledge transfer between the regions.

Presentation of current projects

At the Hannover Messe, the AI Alliance will provide an insight into the projects already underway. These will include, for example, the data platform sub-project. "With the data platform, we are pursuing the goal of developing an operational, adaptable platform for sharing AI assets - this includes data for AI applications as well as pre-trained AI models," says Dr. Thomas Usländer, Business Developer AI Engineering and Project Manager at Fraunhofer IOSB in Karlsruhe, who is leading the sub-project. Nine partners from all regions of the Baden-Württemberg AI Alliance are involved. A "data production line" is shown as a metaphor for data extraction from sensors, their use as training data for machine learning processes and their embedding in the data platform. The compatibility of the ethical and legal framework conditions - including the AI Act - and interoperability with the emerging industrial data spaces such as Catena-X and Factory-X are decisive design criteria.
