Baden-Württemberg AI Alliance picks up speed
Frida Akulova is the new Community Manager in Ostalbkreis
Aalen, March 20, 2024: The KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg is an initiative of the regions of Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Neckar-Alb, Freiburg, Northern Black Forest and the Ostalbkreis. "As the KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg, we see ourselves as a connecting element between business, science and politics, with the aim of securing and expanding economic success," states Ingo Hoffman, Managing Director of KI-Allianz eG. "Targeted networking of stakeholders, knowledge transfer and transparency make the potential of AI technologies accessible to everyone," Hoffman continues.
A strong network: increasing regional visibility for the Ostalbkreis district
The Ostalbkreis district joined the KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg as a member and District Administrator Dr. Joachim Bläse was elected to the supervisory board in April 2023. The Ostalbkreis economic development agency is actively involved in the further development of cooperation between the regional partners.
The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism is also providing funding of 2.43 million euros for community management. The Ostalbkreis district will also benefit from this funding. A position can be created there, which will be co-financed by the district with twenty percent.
The position will be based at Aalen University, where Frida Akulova is also responsible for marketing, PR and social media at the Institute of Materials Research (IMFAA). As there is already a very active and application-oriented innovation ecosystem on the topic of AI around the university, this can be expanded with new focal points as part of the state's AI centers of excellence.
Active and targeted networking on site through community management
Through community management, the AI Alliance Baden-Württemberg is pursuing the goal of creating synergies - through transparency of existing information and knowledge transfer between the regions.
The Ostalbkreis district's accession to the Baden-Württemberg AI Alliance and the implementation of AI projects by Aalen University offers the opportunity to advance the development of artificial intelligence within the alliance. This enables optimal networking and strengthening of existing expertise in the region as well as increased visibility and innovative exchange with other players. "I am very much looking forward to the exciting task as Community Manager and to being actively involved in the latest topics relating to AI," summarizes Frida Akulova.
