Hannover Messe is the global hotspot for industry, innovation and future technologies - and we'll be there again! What AI highlights can visitors expect at the stand? What should not be missed under any circumstances? And how are the preparations for one of the most important events of the year going? Tobias Kenner, Head of Marketing and Business Development at the AI Alliance, provides exclusive insights behind the scenes.
An interview with Tobias Kenner:

Tobias, the Baden-Württemberg AI Alliance is once again exhibiting at the Hannover Messe this year. How are the preparations going so far?
Preparations are running smoothly and efficiently. After our Hannover Messe premiere last year, we were able to take away valuable learnings and insights and incorporate them into this year's concept. In addition, the external partner network and the good connections to the organization team of THE LÄND joint stand at BW-i and Allianz Industrie 4.0 are very helpful. Fun fact: Our website even went live on site at the trade fair last year!
What can visitors expect at the AI Alliance stand? Are there any special formats, live demos or networking opportunities?
Our task as the central point of contact for AI in Baden-Württemberg is to provide companies and public institutions with targeted support in navigating the complex AI landscape. In doing so, we encounter the same questions again and again: Which networks, providers or research projects are there? What relevant events, funding opportunities or workshops are coming up? How is the AI infrastructure developing at regional, national and European level? And what new regulatory framework conditions need to be taken into account? And above all: How do I find the right providers and solutions?
This is how the idea for ask-bw.io was born - as the first demonstrator of our planned knowledge platform. It shows how companies and institutions can use AI to make their own knowledge sources contextually searchable. The aim is to offer a solution that makes it possible to efficiently link individual needs with the appropriate AI offerings - and to do so as practically as possible. This makes AI not only understandable, but also immediately usable. We would be happy to show you the demonstrator live at the trade fair!
Hannover Messe is one of the most important industrial trade fairs in the world. Why is it particularly important for the KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg to be represented there?
The question is already part of the answer. Our relevant stakeholders are represented at the Hannover Messe - SMEs, research representatives and politicians. It is simply the perfect opportunity to hold many fruitful, intensive discussions on the needs and use cases of AI in industry in just a few days. The trade fair also attracts a large number of international players from business and politics who are relevant to us as cooperation partners in order to jointly promote value-based AI beyond Baden-Württemberg and bring "AI made in Europe" to life.

Give us a little insight behind the scenes: How are you set up as a team for the Hannover Messe and what tasks keep you busy so close to the event?
Our team is made up of several departments: Management, AI innovation and strategy, business development and also regional community management are represented. In addition, our contact person for internationalization, Sandra Schorrer, is there to support and develop international contacts.
Representatives from our sub-projects, such as the Fraunhofer Institute, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Aalen University, will also be on site. In particular, they will provide support with the presentation of the demonstrator and the joint project "AI data platform" and show practical AI applications.
We are currently still busy with numerous organizational tasks: Coordinating appointments with international delegations, press and social media preparations as well as targeted 1:1 meetings with potential partners and exhibitors.
For all those who are now curious: How can companies experience the AI Alliance at the trade fair and get in touch with you?
Interested parties can make appointments for a meeting on site directly at the e-mail address kontakt@ki-allianz.de. For coordination and appointment requests for delegations or larger groups of people, please contact sandra.schorrer@ki-allianz.de
So - be sure to come by and experience the AI Alliance live!
