Positive response: The AI Alliance at the Käpsele Innovation Festival
Over 600 participants had the opportunity to visit the AI area under the motto "Targeted networking, shaping change together".
Freiburg, July 17, 2024 - A forward-looking event with a lot of positive feedback took place on Monday (July 15) on the grounds of the Freiburg Tent Music Festival. Over 600 visitors experienced the Baden-Württemberg AI Alliance at the "Käpsele Innovation Festival" and were inspired by the ideas and technologies of the day after tomorrow. To expand a synergetic network, the KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg is also represented in the Freiburg region and initiates projects and plans within the network.
"Targeted networking, shaping change together"
The largest innovation festival in south-west Germany provided the perfect setting for the Freiburg region to present itself. In a dedicated AI Alliance Baden-Württemberg Area, various companies presented their innovative technologies and brought them to life for the festival participants. All under the motto "Targeted networking, shaping change together". Among other things, KOCH Freiburg
GmbH presented an AI-supported, central knowledge platform that supports both customers and employees. Bican IT-Consulting generated AI-LinkedIn posts on site and created digital avatars of visitors, while SICK AG presented various neural networks that interested visitors were able to work on interactively under guidance. At other experience stations, participants were able to test a virtual flight simulator, VR and metaverse applications and robotics. "The festival showed that many innovations are no longer dreams of the future, but are already a reality today. They are shaping our world in a way that we could not have imagined just a few years ago," says German Horn, Community Manager of the Ki-Allianz Freiburg Region.
Pooling expertise and shaping change together
"For three years now, we have been pursuing the idea of a state-wide AI community to pool expertise in Baden-Württemberg and beyond. Six regions of the state with a total of 18 members are now part of the AI Alliance and are building the infrastructure for these new approaches," explains Michael Kaiser, CEO of the Baden-Württemberg AI Alliance. The pooling of expertise and close
cooperation in the regional and supra-regional network is making a significant contribution to the development and application of AI technologies.
Future makers from Freiburg and beyond
The Käpsele Innovation Festival is the largest innovation festival in southwest Germany. With over 600 future makers from the region and beyond, it was sold out within a very short space of time. Under the motto "Out of the bubble - into the future makers!", participants were treated to an afternoon full of exciting debates, talks and networking with like-minded people. German Horn adds: "With its strong focus on the topic of AI, the event program showed us how important and exciting the topic is for many people - and we as the AI Alliance can make a major contribution to reaching and connecting even more people and companies."
Outlook for upcoming events
With a focus on profitable networking and insights into practical examples of ongoing projects, the AI Alliance Baden-Württemberg will actively participate in events thanks to the community management approach. This will take place in all six regions that are part of the AI Alliance. Upcoming events for the Freiburg region will be announced shortly.
