The Baden-Württemberg AI Alliance has already achieved considerable success in the first six months of this year. We briefly present the biggest milestones from 2024:
Six milestones from six months
- Establishment as a central point of contact for AI cooperation:
The AI Alliance has built up a strong network of business, science, public administration and politics in a short space of time. It has established itself as a trustworthy platform that promotes exchange and cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.
- Launch of the AI data platform:
The start of development of the AI data platform is a significant technical milestone. The AI data platform makes it easier for companies, administrations and research institutions to access data, computing resources and AI models - all in strict compliance with ethical standards.
- Successful topic identification for the "AI Challenges":
The "AI Challenge" produces innovative solutions for companies and municipalities. The methodology is an important step in demonstrating how AI systems can be systematically developed. In this way, we are making a concrete contribution to improving processes and products. From the problem to the operational system.
- Intensive support for start-ups and SMEs
Another highlight is the targeted funding programs (AI Innovation Lab, FRAI.accelerator, AI Investor Plug-In) for small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups. With workshops, programs and networking events, the AI Alliance supports the development of new business models, provides access to capital, staff training, expert referrals and the latest AI technologies. From the first consultation to prototype development, at every step of the implementation of AI-supported processes.
- Strong partnerships and international visibility:
Through the targeted networking of business, science and politics, we promote the cross-regional, reciprocal exchange of knowledge, infrastructure and specific needs. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public administrations in particular are supported in learning from each other, sharing resources and effectively meeting needs.
- Establishment of strong community management:
The KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg is an association of six regions. Each region has its own community management - and the contact persons have already been able to create real added value in the first few months. This includes successful kick-off events with interesting insights into the work of the AI Alliance, exciting network meetings and participation in several trade fairs and conferences where AI was presented at first hand. And that was just the beginning!
