Opening of the AI EXPERIENCE ROOM in Reutlingen
Reutlingen, September 30, 2024 - On September 24, 2024, the KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg and GER GmbH & Co. KG opened the AI EXPERIENCE ROOM at INNOPORT Reutlingen - an interactive experience space that brings the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to life for companies and the general public. The AI EXPERIENCE ROOM offers interactive technologies and practical applications to demonstrate the opportunities of AI in practice and to support companies on their way to using artificial intelligence and beyond.
A flagship project for the region
The AI EXPERIENCE ROOM is a new highlight of INNOPORT Reutlingen. The innovation center is open to everyone - from students and founders to entrepreneurs - and will become a meeting place for an innovative community. Interested visitors who want to get to know innovative AI technologies and experience their application are in the right place here. The AI experience room, inspired by escape rooms, can be booked from September 24 and will help start-ups and companies, among others, to better understand the potential uses of AI and strategically integrate it into their operations.
Important impetus for SMEs
The AI EXPERIENCE ROOM is aimed in particular at small and medium-sized companies that want to explore their potential in the field of AI applications and intensify their contact with the technology. By providing practical insights and advice, the AI Alliance supports companies in building bridges and thus specifically accompanies the first steps into AI application. Sandra Rohner, Managing Director of the AI Alliance, emphasizes: "Our aim is to make artificial intelligence accessible and promote knowledge transfer. The AI EXPERIENCE ROOM is therefore another milestonein driving forward the sustainable growth of the AI infrastructurein Baden-Württemberg."
Opening ceremony with high-ranking guests
The official opening was attended by high-ranking guests from politics and business. Prof. Peter Schäfer, Head of the Department for Industry, Innovation, Business-Related Research and Digitalization, was present as a representative of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism and addressed the participants. The Mayor of Reutlingen, Thomas Keck, also emphasized the importance of the project for the region. Klaas Bollhöfer, Managing Director of Birds on Mars GmbH, introduced the AI EXPERIENCE ROOM.
Sandra Rohner, Managing Director of the AI Alliance, also emphasized the importance of the initiated project in her welcoming speech: "With the AI EXPERIENCE ROOM, we are actively inviting companies and the public to not only understand the possibilities of AI in theory, but also to experience them in practice. It is a place where innovation and collaboration are promoted and lived."
The AI EXPERIENCE ROOM is a project of GER Gewerbeimmobilien Reutlingen GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of the City of Reutlingen, as part of the Baden-Württemberg AI Alliance and is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism and the Public Education Foundation. The project was realized by the companies Birds on Mars, Die Eventhandwerker e.K., MBA Design & Display Products Corporation and Leyard Europe.

The Baden-Württemberg AI Alliance is a central initiative made up of the regions of Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Neckar-Alb, Freiburg, Northern Black Forest and Ostalbkreis.
